NowHer is owned by Accelerate Change, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization funded by foundations and individuals dedicated to catalyzing sustainable digital media models for citizen engagement.

Ethics policy

The team at NowHer values accuracy and fairness in how we report

and comment on the news. We aim to empower and inform using facts and data. 

Fact-checking policy 

Every article on NowHer is researched and drafted by a writer who independently

verifies the facts presented in their piece. Before publishing each article,

an editor examines the story for inaccuracies, reporting errors, or misleading context.

We link to reliable sources and are as forthright and transparent as possible

when it comes to how we gather information for our readers. 

Corrections policy

We do our best to get things right. But when we don’t, it’s on us to address what went wrong. If we learn that information in an article is inaccurate or misleading, we amend the piece

immediately with a time-stamped update notifying our readers of the correction.
